Who says a tote is just a tote? Our signature ripstop nylon totes are not only sturdy and adorable, they’re also one of the most versatile wrapping tools you’ll ever own. Think of them as the eco-chic gift wrap you can actually use again (and again and again).
Here are three easy, Eden-approved ways we’ve used totes to up our gift game:
Cute Lil’ Pouch
Perfect for themed gifts plus a gift certificate!
Imagine a Swedish dish cloth, coasters, your favorite dish soap, plus a GC to Williams Sonoma. Fold your tote into the pocket and tuck over the envelope for a pop of Eden. Add a chip clip to hold everything together and voila – a perfect little bundle.
Tie with twine or add a gift tag for some extra charm.
The Modern Gift Basket
I love this “exposed” look for gift baskets! Find a crate or basket that matches your motif (we’ll always opt for a nice gold one like this), stuff it with wine, sake, whiskey, snacks and then wrap the bottom 1/3 of the basket with the tote. Fold the edges down so it’s a clean wrap around and use the handles to create either a knot, two sides bow or my fave, a rose!
“The rose is easier than it looks. Simply twist both handles separately and then twist them together in a circular motion. Tuck the edges down to keep the rose in tact. It’s effortless but impressive!”
That’s A Wrap
Instead of using a box or gift bag, use the tote as wrapping.
This would be ideal on easy-to-wrap, even shaped items like a sweater or t-shirt. For instance, if you’re wrapping an Eden polo for your dude, fold it as evenly as possible. Put it into a small or medium tote and fold down the tote in half, possibly even in thirds so it starts to look like a gift box. Tuck in the sides and handles, use ribbon or twine to hold it together.
Eden totes that double as wrapping? Oh my, even Santa will do a double take!
