There’s some things in life that are on constant rotation like your favorite toothpaste, go to pajama or brand of car freshener. That’s what this list, items we’ve always had, but recently found THE BEST version that made our lives 1000x better.
BACKLIT MIRROR
I’ll be honest, I JUST got two backlit mirrors after I had a 7a flight to Las Vegas and had to get ready before the sun came up. There just wasn’t enough light to see my brows, check my bronzer or confirm that I was actually curling my hair versus doing air curls in the dark. I searched for backlit mirrors while on the plane (thanks to Starlink!) and pulled the trigger on two.
A full length, and vanity top one. Why suffer in the dark anymore? These backlit mirrors are a game changer. Not only do they provide beautiful voluminous light, but they really make getting ready more pleasant. Both of these mirrors have 3-color dimmable light options so you can set your light to the exact brightness you need. Get a mirror, but make it better!

KIZIK SHOES
I’ve been a die hard Nike shoe wearer all my life. I never strayed, even when my laces got knotted or the new Nike was a wee too tight at the toe area. So when I saw an ad for these step in shoes called Kizik, I kinda giggled. Why would anyone need step in shoes? What’s so hard about untying your shoes, sliding your foot in and tying them back up? Not hard at all! But I kept getting served this ad until finally, I bought them. And I tell you, I haven’t “stepped back” to Nikes since. Ease, comfort and gaining that extra 10 seconds back? Priceless.

EYELINER STAMP
Struggling to get the perfect cat eye wing? Same girl same. When I saw this on Amazon, I was like no wayyyyyy. But I tried it and Oh My m-EYE (LOL), it’s so effortless to get that Ariana Grande wing. Smudge-proof, sweatproof eyeliner pens with a built-in stamp for flawless, consistent cat eye looks. It’s a set of two with a wing for each eye. The bonus is the wet liner on the opposite end that has a nice juicy tip.

MAKEUP BALM AND TOWEL
Hands down, my favorite makeup balm is from Glow Recipe. It’s not the cheapest balm, but it takes all of my eye makeup off (and there’s a hefty amount on there) and never, ever stings my eye.
But what up’d my makeup removal routine was this face towel, which is more like a
1) Rub the balm generously in your hands to warm it up 2) Massage around your eyes and watch your makeup all disappear 3) Wet the face shammy and wipe your face clean. And trust me, it’ll be squeaky, cheeky clean! You can use this with any face wash, I just love it with a good balm.
ONION CHOPPER
If there’s ever an onion involved, I flee from the kitchen. I will start tearing as soon as the onion is unpeeled! That hot, watery sensation lasts forever, hence the hard pass on anything with onions in it. But once I got my hands on this, my anti-onion days were over. Dice onions with ease using this patented, dishwasher-safe chopper. I can chop an entire onion in 10 seconds – with no time to shed a tear.
STAND UP DESK
I know I know, a desk is a desk. But the pandemic made STANDING DESKS a thing. Since we were all working so much from home, it was nice to stand and work, work and stand. Three preset buttons make this desk easy to sit, stand and zoom at your ideal height. I love the clean finish and modern style. I opted for the larger desk (55″D x 24″W x 46”H) but there’s a smaller version perfect for kiddos who also concentrate better while standing. Desk life, but make it cute (and functional!).
MONITOR STAND
On the note of desks, one thing that’s been a game changer in our work world? An awesome monitor stand. After feeling the tweaks in our neck and having to stretch every five minutes, we saved our neck from consistent pain with this one simple fix!
We love this wooden stand for it’s simplistic look and all that added storage.
