Bike but make it cute, 5 ways we’ve up’d our bike style game.

Remember the big bike boom that happened during the pandemic? So for Christmas 2020, I asked for a bike – one that reminded me of my childhood days ripping up and down Kaeleku Street in Hawaii Kai.

I asked for a yellow cruiser!

I got the team pumped to hit the Kakaako pavement. “Guys, let’s all get bikes! We can start an Eden bike club!!” And just like that, we had three cruisers coming to Hawaii – a banana boat color for me, a cotton candy pink for Alyssa and a classic white for Olivia. Here’s a link to the bikes we got.

Now, bike but make it cute, right??

Here’s how we jazzed up our wheels:

Add a basket and pom poms.

A basket and pom poms for all of the items in tow. You’d be shocked how having this basket made us the jacket holder, the snack carrier, the “watch my stuffie” person. But look how cute it is!

Basket and pom poms were a must.

Customize your bike bell.

We bought a simple white bell and lasered an Eden pattern on it. Wanna keep things simple? Find waterproof stickers and trim them to fit on this bike bell, too!

Some of our favorite stickers here.

Get a cute lock!

I got a pink lock with a 4 foot cable and combination lock. There are 9 colors to choose from and I’d suggest getting something that pairs well with your bike versus going same same. Take it a step further and add a keychain to the cable for some added flair.

Safe CAN be cute too!

You need this coffee carrier.

Check out this Coffee carrier! ‘Cause I have to peddle with two hands on the bar but NEED my coffee when I roll to work. It’s also doubled up as a snack holder for Bryson and off-the-ground drink carrier when we’re parked.

Got a pup?

Make biking a family affair!

We found this roomy pet backpack that has a wide base, pockets for poop bags, ventilation panels and a roll up front window. Woof!

There’s nothing Chloe loved more than cruising around Kaka’ako on our cruisers!

The pet backpack is 16″ x 13.6″ x 10″ (L x W x H) and made for small/medium sized dogs AND cats. Meow! It even has a built-in security leash and soft washable pad.

Besides cruising on bike, it’s the perfect way to hit up the mall, with a pup in tow.

We started a bike club and cruised a lot during those lock down days.

Check out our fun times here:

“TanTan and I went cruising around Magic Island on our bikes after school one day! Uncle Brys is always the leader of the pack and TanTan rides in the back. We’re all in a line, just like a bike club.”
