TEN THINGS I BOUGHT IN JAPAN THAT I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT NOW

Japan has officially ruined me (in the best way).

Here’s what made the cut:

Peach Lotion 🍑

Smells like a real fruit and cuts down static like magic. And yes… static season here is REAL.

1280 yen in Japan – found on Amazon here

Menthol lip balm ❄️

Chapped lips are no fun. So whenever the temperature drops below 60 degrees, we stock up on lip balms. This one is our new favorite – so much so, Char and my dad have both scooped up the stash I have!

Menthol Lip Balm 345 yen, haven’t found this online yet. Available at most drug stores in Japan.

Strawberry + orange fabric spray 🍓🍊

Perfect post-ramen or tempura. Because your clothes deserve to smell as cute as your meal. These aren’t from the 100yen store, but they’re worth every “penny”.

Sprays 2890 yen from Fernanda in Hakata Station (underground)

THIS dish soap 🧼

The suds. Just. Keep. Going.

Dish soap 298 yen purchased at the supermarket.

Japanese shampoos 🫧

Couldn’t choose… so I didn’t. Using both as a shampoo bar and loving it.

Shampoos 498-1260 yen

The Ichikami Smoothing Shampoo and Condition are our favorites! Available on Amazon here and found at Don Quijote in Hawaii, too!

Metal back scratcher from Seria 🙌

Extends, feels like actual nails, and might be my favorite purchase ever. Soooo satisfying.
Back scratcher 100 yen

Peach mint toothpaste + matching mouthwash 🍑🌿

Mint + peach? I’m intrigued. A friend gifted me the toothpaste and I was obsessed. Now this duo? It’s a super pleasant experience. Also… that XL toothbrush? LIFE-CHANGING.

Toothpaste 568 yen found at a Japanese drug store, available on Amazon here
Mouthwash 698 yen (haven’t been able to find online, yet!)

Marks & Web ✨

Discovered this brand in Hokkaido last year and have hunted them down in every Japan city since. The Jasmine and Peppermint are my two favorite scents, but I recently tried the Yuzu and OMG, yes.

Moisturizer spray 2490 yen | Moisturizer 2490 yen (Mark & Webbs in Hakata Station underground)

Vests 🖤

My entire vest collection is from Japan and I have a lot! I skip the suit blouse and pair vests with lacey tops or bralettes on warm days.

Honeys 3990yen (if you haven’t been to Honeys yet, you need to get there stat! Check them out on Instagram here.)

Shrimp tempura coin purse 🍤

If you’re getting a coin purse, make it cute. Bryson carries all his yen in this little guy and giggles every time he pulls it out. Found at Seria  for 100yen!

Japan really said: your daily essentials, but better. 😌
